Fresh Meats

Dorignac’s Food Center features one of the most comprehensive, quality, Angus beef meat departments in the Greater New Orleans area. Let our butchers in the meat department custom-cut your favorite steaks and roasts at no additional charge. In addition to Dorignac’s USDA Angus choice beef, you will find the freshest, highest-quality selection of pork, lamb, poultry and gourmet sausage. If you find yourself with a question ask our manager Aldo, with his 15 years of experience, he is sure to be of help to you.

Ground Beef:
Dorignac’s Gourmet Meat Department makes 11 different varieties of fresh ground beef, daily.  Meatloaf mix and beef, veal and pork combo are just a few of the varieties that are showcased at Dorignac’s.

Lamb:
In Dorignac’s Gourmet Meat Department, our butchers only feature domestic spring lamb.  From our lamb crown roast, made to order, to lamb racks, shanks, legs, available everyday, our butchers take pride in the quality of the meat served to their customers at Dorignac’s. We suggest that you rub, glaze, roast and braise these tender pieces of meat.  Some great innovative dishes prepared with lamb are lamb ravioli, lamb pot stickers or even a great lamb burger. We also carry white, milk fed veal great for spadini or veal cutlets.

Gourmet Meat:
Fresh Italian meatballs made daily with all fresh ingredients. Stuffed pork chops and chicken breast with four varieties of each. Italian breaded cutlets and eggplant made daily and are ready to fry. Beef or chicken kabobs made daily with fresh vegetables. Gourmet beef burgers made in 6 varieties, try our blue cheese burger ready for the grill. Crabmeat stuffed mushrooms ready to be baked or broiled. Stuffed bell peppers made Italian style. Made fresh daily, andouille, beef and pork sausage.

Poultry:
In the Dorignac’s Gourmet Meat Department, we feature Miss Goldy’s Sanderson Farm Natural Chicken.  Pork: At Dorignac’s Meat Department we feature Hormel Natural Pork, no additives.
